Gaming-focussed VC Fund Lumikai Aims To Close 10-12 Deals In Coming Years

The Economic Times reported that Lumikai aims to close 10 to 12 deals in the coming years, as Salone Sehgal, Founder and Managing Partner, shared how the fund plans to tap into India's growing interactive media and gaming sector.

Salone said Lumikai is particularly bullish on four areas: content such as game development; platforms spanning interactive audio and social entertainment gaming; tools and technology infrastructure in mixed reality and spatial computing; and systems of play in edtech, healthtech and fintech. Frontier technologies such as AR/VR and generative AI are further propelling the ecosystem.

She sized India's media and entertainment market at about $25Bn in revenue, of which $12Bn is new media spanning interactive, audio and video, games, esports, animation and VFX, with gaming the fastest-growing category.
