Lumikai has made a $2Mn seed investment in Frammer AI, founded by former NDTV executives Suparna Singh, Arijit Chatterjee and Kawaljit Singh Bedi. The AI platform converts long-form video into monetisable, brand-safe short-form clips for channels such as YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn and Instagram Reels. Its proprietary Frammer ViV offering tags video content to identify brand-safe segments, helping publishers unlock contextual advertising and new monetisation avenues.
Media houses can spend nearly 20% of their annual costs on digital content creation, and up to 75% of premium video content remains unconverted for digital use, a gap Frammer addresses by reducing both time and cost. Lumikai's investment reflects its confidence in Frammer's ability to build a global SaaS media-tech company from India, backed by a full-stack, enterprise-grade product, a proprietary data moat and a founding team with deep media experience.
