Asher brings over two decades of venture capital expertise, having held leadership roles as a Partner and Investment Committee member at 500 Startups and Group Vice President and Global Head of M&A and Venture Capital at Etisalat Group, and has actively shaped investment landscapes across geographies from Silicon Valley, Europe, to the Middle East.

Asher’s advisory roles with prominent VC and PE funds, including Race Capital, Merus Capital, Sukna Ventures, and the Abu Dhabi Financial Group, underscore his influence and reach within the global venture community. At 500 Startups, he was instrumental as a Partner and member of the Investment Committee, contributing to the creation of a portfolio that includes over 2000 startups and more than ten unicorns, dividing time between San Francisco and the Middle East.

During his tenure at Etisalat, Asher led numerous high-stakes M&A transactions and played a crucial role in venture capital investments, guiding the company through substantial growth phases and strategic developments. Prior to Etisalat, he was also part of the founding team of CNBC Africa, a leading pan-African business news channel based in South Africa.
