Lumikai at WAVES 2025
Lumikai was proud to be a sub-committee member at WAVES 2025, hosted by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting in Mumbai. We successfully hosted two sessions as part of the summit, which saw strong participation and engagement from across the media and entertainment ecosystem.
Our first session, “From Swipes to Stories: India’s Interactive Media Consumer Unlocked,” marked the launch of Lumikai’s latest consumer research report. Presented by Salone Sehgal and Aditya Deshpande, the session shared insights from over 3,000 mobile users across India. Mr. Shuji Utsumi, President and COO of SEGA, opened the session with his remarks on India’s growing importance in the global gaming landscape.
The second session, “Billion Dollar Bets: Investor View on Gaming’s Next Frontier,” brought together Othman Alhokail, Founder and Managing Partner, Merak Capital, Deepen Parikh Partner, Courtside Ventures, and Shivanandan Pare, Head of Corporate Development, Gameskraft, in a panel moderated by Salone Sehgal. The discussion covered trends, capital flows, and market shifts in India and global gaming.
