Anant has 20+ years of experience in finance, fund management, audits, taxation, compliance, controls and reporting for funds with cumulative AUM of $2.5Bn+. He is a seasoned finance leader and has built/ led finance functions for multi jurisdictional funds across India, Mauritius, Cayman Islands, Singapore etc, with deep expertise in structuring, governance, investor reporting, valuations and regulatory frameworks.
Prior to Lumikai, Anant was the Chief Financial Officer at UTI Alternatives, managing a suite of alternate investment funds investing across private credit, real estate and multi asset strategies of over $250Mn, where he led the finance department, strengthened institutional controls and provided strategic recommendations to the CEO/Board.
Before UTI, Anant served as AVP at Jacob Ballas Capital, the advisory arm to Mauritius domiciled private equity funds with over $600Mn of AUM. He headed fund accounting and administration, investor reporting, and regulatory/tax compliance, ensuring high quality governance for global LPs.
Earlier, as AVP at Macquarie Global Services, he managed the finance function for 4 Asia focused private equity funds, driving reporting accuracy, process efficiency, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
Anant began his career with Price Waterhouse and A.F. Ferguson & Co. (a member firm of Deloitte), where he managed statutory, internal, and tax audits for clients across industries building a strong foundation in controls, assurance and financial discipline.
At Lumikai, Anant serves as CFO overseeing the full finance and operations stack including fund management/accounting, structuring, taxation, investor reporting, portfolio valuations and compliance across Cayman and India AIF vehicles. He also partners closely with the Founding Partner on strategy, capital planning and LP governance.
Anant is a Chartered Accountant from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, holds an IFRS Diploma from ACCA (UK), and holds a Master of Commerce from Delhi University.
Outside of work, Anant enjoys exploring new destinations, spending time with his loved ones, playing cricket and badminton.
