Economic Times: VC Lumikai eyes 10-12 deal via India Fund II

Lumikai Founding GP, Salone Sehgal was interviewed by the Economic Times to share insights about the growing interactive media and gaming sector in India, and how Lumikai intends to tap into this white space.

We are particularly bullish on interactive media sub-sectors such as content (game development), platforms (interactive audio, social entertainment gaming), tools and technology infrastructure (in mixed reality and spatial computing) as well as systems of play (in ed-tech, health-tech, fintech). The recent developments in frontier technologies such as AR/VR, and generative AI are further propelling this ecosystem.

Media and entertainment in India is about a $25 billion revenue pie, of which $12 billion is new media, including interactive, audio/video, games, esports, animation, VFX, etc. Gaming is the fastest-growing category of this pie.

As a venture capital fund focused on the gaming and interactive media sector, Lumikai is actively investing in this sector.

If you're building something innovative in the gaming or interactive media space, we'd love to hear from you. Reach out to us at hello@lumikai.com and let's chat about how we can support your ambitious plans.
